2025

As we move into Winter we start to think about the upcoming 2025 weddings. We have really noticed that the landscape of UK weddings is evolving, reflecting broader cultural shifts and a desire for personalisation and sustainability and can’t wait to see what our couples deliver next year!

Sustainable Celebrations

Sustainability continues to be a driving force in wedding planning. Couples are increasingly conscious of their environmental impact and are seeking eco-friendly options. This includes everything from sourcing local, seasonal food for the reception to using biodegradable confetti and sustainable decor. Many are opting for vintage or second-hand wedding dresses, and hiring local suppliers to reduce their carbon footprint. Additionally, zero-waste weddings, where every aspect of the celebration is designed to minimise waste, are becoming more popular. At the Manor Estate the team are delighted to support this approach. Our rain water harvesting system was installed in 2012 and services all the toilets on-site.

Intimate Gatherings

Post-pandemic, many couples are still opting for smaller, more intimate weddings. The “micro-wedding” trend remains strong, with couples celebrating with close family and friends rather than large gatherings. This shift allows for a more personal atmosphere and enables couples to invest more in each guest’s experience. These intimate ceremonies often feature unique venues, such as private owned homes or scenic outdoor locations, creating a cozy and meaningful setting – both of which resonate with the Manor Estate approach. We can accommodate 35 – 120 guests seated, with 14 people staying overnight in the Manor House.

Personalised Experiences

Couples are increasingly looking to reflect their personalities and interests in their wedding celebrations. Customisation is key, from personalised vows and unique themes to bespoke cocktails and entertainment. Couples are embracing their quirks, incorporating elements that tell their story, such as themed decorations based on their favourite movies or travel experiences. This trend is also evident in wedding favours, which are becoming more personalised and meaningful.

Bold Colours and Unique Themes

In 2025, weddings are expected to break away from traditional colour palettes. Couples are experimenting with bold and vibrant colours, moving towards rich jewel tones or unexpected colour combinations. Themed weddings are also on the rise, with couples opting for unique inspirations such as travel, art, or even their favourite books. This trend encourages creativity and allows for fun, visually striking celebrations.

Technology

Technology continues to play a significant role in weddings, with couples using various tools to enhance their experience. Live-streaming services remain popular, enabling loved ones who cannot attend in person to join the celebration virtually. Drones for aerial photography and videography are also gaining traction, offering couples a unique perspective of their day – a real favourite added element! Additionally, wedding planning apps help streamline the planning process, making it easier for couples to manage guest lists, budgets, and schedules. Couples have mentioned how useful Hitched and BrideBook are for wedding planning.

Catering

Food has always been a focal point of weddings, and in 2025, we hope to see a rise in culinary creativity. Couples are moving beyond traditional sit-down dinners and opting for food trucks, grazing tables, and interactive food stations. There’s also a growing interest in fusion cuisines, allowing couples to incorporate dishes from their cultural backgrounds. Furthermore, dessert bars and alternative wedding cakes, such as cheese wheels or donut towers, are becoming popular choices.
