A Love Story in the Countryside: What Makes Wiltshire Weddings So Magical
There’s something undeniably enchanting about a countryside wedding and Wiltshire, with its rolling hills, ancient woodlands, and timeless stone villages, offers the perfect backdrop for a truly romantic celebration. But what makes weddings here truly unforgettable isn’t just the setting—it’s the stories, the people, and the personal touches that bring it all to life.
As a family-run wedding venue nestled in the heart of Wiltshire, we’ve had the honour of helping couples begin their new chapter surrounded by nature, history, and heartfelt hospitality. Today, we want to share a little bit of that magic with you.

A Venue Built on Love and Family
Our story began in 2012 when our family decided to turn our beautiful home and land into a space where others could celebrate love. What started as a small idea quickly became a passion project—and eventually, a full-time family business.
Every wedding we host is personal to us. You’ll find us welcoming guests at the door, arranging flowers last-minute, or lighting sparklers in the evening—we’re always there, because this isn’t just a business to us; it’s our home.

Why Wiltshire is Made for Weddings
Wiltshire is often called a “hidden gem” for countryside weddings—and we couldn’t agree more.
Breathtaking Scenery: From golden fields in summer to misty mornings in autumn, Wiltshire brings a natural romance to any season.
Rich History: With ancient landmarks like Stonehenge and Avebury nearby, there’s a sense of timelessness that adds depth to your special day.
Charming Local Touches: Whether it’s local cheeses served at your reception, wildflowers picked nearby, or photographs taken among historic cottages, Wiltshire adds a unique flavour to your wedding.

Real Moments, Real Magic
We’ve had the privilege of witnessing so many unforgettable moments:
Like the couple who said their vows under an ancient beech tree, surrounded by twinkling fairy lights. Or the bride who surprised her guests by arriving on horseback down our drive (a moment none of us will ever forget!).
Each wedding is different—but they all have one thing in common: love, connection, and a setting that feels a world away from the ordinary.

Tips for Planning Your Wiltshire Wedding
Thinking of saying “I do” in the countryside? Here are a few tips to make the most of your Wiltshire wedding:
Embrace the Seasons: Wiltshire’s beauty shifts with the months. Spring blooms, summer sunsets, autumn colours, and cosy winter fires all bring their own charm. Our Barn with it’s underfloor heating and solid 18th century walls give warmth in the winter and cool in the summer.
Go Local: From florists and caterers to musicians and photographers, Wiltshire has a thriving community of talented wedding professionals. Our Little White Book of local suppliers helps many couples on their planning journey!
Stay a While: Encourage guests to make a weekend of it—there’s so much to explore, from quaint market towns to scenic walking trails. We have Stonehenge and Salisbury on our doorstep and can sleep 14 in our Manor House so we encourage couples to stay the whole weekend if not longer.
